Step by Step Process:

1- In order to further customize the panels on the sides of the Utrecht library, I felt like going into a color changing route would be the best fit. I began by creating a project file with a basic curtain wall placed in the project

2- Split the curtain panel grid lines into 2 different groups, the vertical and the horizontal

3- In order to use the new vertical and horizontal curtain wall family types simultaneously, you have to go into the properties of the curtain wall and activate the vertical and horizontal grid by changing the layout and the distance between the panels

4- Now that the curtain panel wall is setup, opening dynamo and configuring a workflow is the next step and ensuring that all of the nodes are available that are used in the tutorial video that is listed down below

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az28bLrhJnk

5- In order to make the tutorial work for the panel randomization and colors, I had to download external packages from the package manager, these being, Clockwork for Dynamo 2.x and DynamoIronPython2.7

6- Element.AllInstances was the primary node that I used from the Clockwork package in order to select all of the grid lines of the curtain wall and apply some guidelines/rules to the curtain wall

7- After getting the randomization of the panel sizes complete, configuring the colors of the panels was the next step

8- Using the Family Type and List Create node allowed for me to list a number of different colors for the panels, I have 3 different colors currently

9- After completing all of the dynamo equations, the curtain wall is now ready, optimized, and able to be used on different projects

10- The implementation of this curtain wall into my project was mostly seamless, minus a grid issue or 2 but now the exterior glazing is multicolored and randomized instead of static and plain

11- There is also the option of changing the color of the panels at anytime, as well as adding or subtracting a color or material characteristic

12- Here is the final product that I produced after completing the Dynamo file and placing the curtain walls on each of the building's floors

AI Render Images:

I used Midjourney AI in order to enter in multiple prompts to try and steer the AI generation in the right direction to try and showcase changes on the building

Prompt- Utrecht library with multicolored facade panels, opaque mixed with transparent, modern style

Prompt- Utrecht library with multicolored facade panels, opaque mixed with transparent, different sized panels in a modern style

Prompt- Utrecht library with different sized facade panels, different color panels, opaque and transparent panels in a modern style

Prompt- Utrecht library with different sized facade panels, different color panels, opaque and transparent panels in a modern style, protruding masses

Prompt- Utrecht library facade panel system with different size panels and colors

Prompt- Utrecht library, different panel sizes, pastel colored panels, randomized order of panels on wall, modern style

Prompt- Utrecht library with partial opaque and partial transparent panels, neutral colors

AI Implementation and Assistance:

Whenever I would run into issues or want to see if there was a workaround while using Dynamo, I would type my question either into Google AI and also to ChatGPT to see if the AI could understand my question and give me a proper answer to my question if possible

Getting ChatGPT to diagnose errors in my Dynamo script

Diagnosing my panel size and length issue using ChatGPT and how to fix it

Asking ChatGPT to pinpoint where the suggestions would go within Dynamo and what they are going to be

Different Workflow ChatGPT listed below
